C-Plan for Local Authorities
Do you have sustainable
energy planning policies? C-Plan can help you
implement them and reduce CO2 emissions from new developments
Implementing sustainable energy and carbon emissions reduction policies is a new challenge for planning authorities. Often, assessing new developments for compliance requires a level of technical expertise that local authorities seldom have in-house.
C-Plan makes it easy for planning authorities to gather the right information from developers, to validate that information against their carbon reduction policy criteria and to monitor and report the outcomes on an authority-wide basis.
How does it work?
C-Plan links together planners and developers, managing the flow of information between them and providing them with tools for compliance checking, tracking and reporting.
Information exchanges between developers and planners are streamlined using business process management (workflow) and automatic e-mail notifications. The workflow updates a dynamic task list which routes planners and developers through the compliance process from pre-application, best practice advice, through compilation and onto submission of carbon performance data, verification and approval.
