Low Carbon Technologies
To achieve your CO2 reduction target, you need to identify and compare a range of
sustainable energy measures. When considering your options, you should take the following approach.
- Examine options
for improving energy efficiency, involving measures such as
thermal insulation and efficient heating systems.
- Assess the potential for improved efficiency in the delivery of energy for example by installing combined heat and power.
- Examine the potential for installing renewable energy technologies on site.
You may also want to consider passive design options, which take into account issues such as solar gain for natural heating,
natural ventilation and day lighting.
